About ACMS
At American Canyon Middle School, we believe that school should be a place where every student feels a sense of belonging and can thrive. Our fundamental mission is to provide a vibrant, safe, and caring environment that promotes academic excellence, social-emotional well-being, and independent thinking. We believe in providing a quality and challenging education to all our students to prepare them for a global society by focusing on career goals, appropriate technologies, and tolerance towards and respect for diverse cultures, beliefs, and lifestyles. To achieve this, we focus on the 4 C’s: Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, and Creativity, and our common school-wide expectation for all to Be Respectful, Safe, Responsible, and most importantly, Kind. We meet these goals and the needs of our students through our strong academic and elective program, an approved and aligned social and emotional advisory program and the concept of teaming.
